A foreign man, who was illegal in Portugal, was arrested this Thursday, May 30, by the Judiciary Police, on suspicion of being involved in drug trafficking seized on a boat in Ilha do Farothere, in Faro.
“The development of the investigation, in a context of cooperation and joint efforts between the Judiciary Police and the Maritime Police, allowed us to gather strong evidence of the suspect's connection to the transport of the narcotic product seized on the boat,” says the PJ.
The detainee was undocumented and in an irregular situation in Portugal.
The investigation continues under the responsibility of the Judiciary Police in the inquiry conducted by the 2nd section of the DIAP of Faro.
