Five passengers with false documents detained at the airport of Faro

Since the beginning of the year, there has been a 300% increase in the detection of false documents at the Airport of Faro

Five foreigners were arrested, in the act, in recent days, at the airport of Faro, for using falsified documents when trying to travel to the UK and Ireland.

According to the Foreigners and Borders Service (SEF), among the falsified documents were a French passport, a Polish one, an Italian and two Slovenes.

The SEF adds that, only at the Airport of Faro, "there was a 300% increase in the detection of false and counterfeit documents when leaving the national territory, in the first three months of 2019, compared to the same period last year".
