Portugal has already won the U-20 World Cup twice

The Algarve goalkeeper João Virgínia has been called up for the U-20 World Cup, which takes place from May 23 to June 15, in Poland.

Virginia, who plays for Everton, England, is a constant presence in the youth teams of Portugal, having already been crowned European champion of U17 and U19.

The call, announced this Friday, May 10, by coach Hélio Sousa, also includes the presence of names such as Gedson Fernandes and Florentino (Benfica), Diogo Dalot (Manchester United), Rafael Leão (Lille), Diogo Queirós ( FC Porto) and Miguel Luís (Sporting).

Portugal is included in Group F, together with South Korea, Argentina and South Africa.

The national team will start the competition against the Koreans, on May 25 (14:30 pm), followed by clashes with the Argentines, on May 28 (17:00 pm), and South Africa, on May 31 (19:30 pm), always in the city of Bielsko-Biala.

The quinas team starts as one of the favorites to win this competition, which has already won twice, in 1989 and 1991.
