Encouraging the practice of futsal and giving an opportunity to athletes from the local club, Inter-Vivos, to play with teams from the Algarve and Alentejo, is the objective of the futsal tournament Prof. Luís Conceição, which will take place on Saturday, from 11:00 am, at the José Rosa Pereira municipal pavilion, in Alcoutim.
The competition, as its name indicates, will also pay homage to Luís Conceição, councilor of the Alcoutim Chamber and the national women's futsal selector who led this team to several titles, including European vice-champion and vice-champion world champion, as well as the gold medal at the Youth Olympic Games.
Teams from the Initiated Men, Junior Women and Senior Women classes will participate in the tournament.
In the case of the only male level, the team from the Inter-Vivos association, which organizes the event, will be joined by the formations of Boavista FC (Portimão), Internacional Évora, F. Salesianos (Évora), Gejupce (Portimão), São Pedro FC (Faro).
In Women's Juniors, the teams Internacional de Évora, UD Castromarinense (Castro Marim), CDR Pedra Mourinha (Portimão) will compete for victory. In Senior Women, the Farense teams will enter the field (Faro), NSL Almodôvar, GDC Baronia (Beja), UD Castromarinense (Castro Marim) and Mineiro Aljustrelense (Aljustrel).
In all, 23 matches will be played.
