This Sunday, the Judiciary Police arrested the man suspected of having killed, shot from a shotgun, the owner of a restaurant on Praia do Amado, on the coast of Aljezur.
Público, citing a PJ source, says that the origin of the crime will be "recurring disagreements" between the two men. Jorge Cabrita, the 44-year-old victim, owned the beach restaurant and another, the 41-year-old murderer, was engaged in fishing, but «they couldn't see each other». The disagreements had even prompted a court case.
In fact, according to a video that the victim's brother posted on his Facebook wall, from the video surveillance of the beach restaurant, on April 25 the murderer had already attempted the assault.

This Sunday, around 11:00 am, when Jorge Cabrita was arranging the chairs on the terrace, the presumed murderer hit him with a shotgun at close range and left.
The firefighters from Aljezur and the INEM team, called to the scene of the crime, still attempted resuscitation maneuvers, but death was eventually declared at the scene.
However, the murderer was arrested a few hours later, by the team of investigators from the Criminal Investigation Department of the PJ, with the support of the GNR.
This Monday, the suspect will be present at the Court, so that a coercive measure can be decreed.
