Odeceixe hosts Folar Fair and even gets everyone pedaling

Entrance to the fair is free.

The Folar Fair in Odeceixe returns to this location on the Costa Vicentina, from the 19th, 20th and 21st of April, to taste the traditional folar of this region, a typical Easter delicacy that marks the festive period as an ancient symbol of the godparents' dedication to their godchildren, symbolizing reconciliation, union and friendship.

But the fair will also have other traditional sweets used in this festive season, based on sweet potatoes from Aljezur, as well as regional sausages, handicrafts and local products.

There will also be an area with taverns and restaurants, serving typical dishes and snacks, with unique and traditional flavors from the Costa Vicentina.

The musical entertainment will feature the presence of several artists, in the afternoons and evenings of the three days of the event. The highlight goes to singer Sérgio Rossi, who will perform on April 20th, at 23 pm. The event also has a space dedicated to the little ones.

The fairground, which has free entry, will open on Friday and Saturday at 12:00 pm and will close at 24:00 am, maintaining animation until 1:30 am. On Sunday, it will open at 12:00 and will close at 21:00.

Alongside the Folar Fair, perhaps to burn the accumulated calories, it will be possible to cycle through the unique landscapes of the Costa Vicentina, in an initiative of the Mountain Bike Practitioners Club of Odeceixe – Pedal'Ar Livre, which organizes the Folar Route.

It will be possible to take a guided route or by GPS track, depending on the physical preparation of each participant.
