João Rebelo heads the CDS's Algarve list in the October legislatives

CDS bets again on head of list from outside the region

João Rebelo will head the CDS-PP's Algarve list in the October legislative sessions. Centrists are once again opting for a head-of-list from outside the region, who replaces Teresa Caeiro, who was elected in 2015, on a list in a coalition with the PSD.

The number 1 on the Algarve list, which, taking into account the history of the last elections, will be the only eligible place, was elected deputy to the Assembly of the Republic in the last six legislatures, always in the Lisbon constituency – since the VIII Legislature (1999-2002) .

He is also a deputy of the Municipal Assembly of Seixal, having been, in the past, general secretary of both the CDS-PP and the Popular Youth.

João Rebelo is also a professor at Universidade Lusófona.
