Immortal is out of the Portugal Basketball Cup

Final 8 of the Portuguese Cup to be played in Portimão

Immortal was eliminated, this Friday, March 15, from the Portuguese Basketball Cup, after losing by 94-66 against the national champion Oliveirense. 

In a game played at Portimão Arena, counting for the quarter-finals of the Cup, Oliveirense went to half-time after winning by 41-36 and knew how to hold the advantage in the marker until the end.

Marc-Eddy Norelia was highlighted in the national champion team, managing to score 19 points.

On the part of Immortal, the best player was Stephen Maxwell who scored 25 points out of the 66 points scored by Immortal de Albufeira.

In the other quarter-final matches, Lusitânia beat Terceira Basket (98-83) and FC Porto beat Barreirense by 97-60.

Ovarense caused a sensation by beating Benfica by one point (66-65).

This Saturday, March 16, the Portuguese Basketball Cup continues at Portimão Arena, with the semi-finals of the competition. At 15:00, FC Porto will face Lusitânia and, at 17:30, Oliveirense will play against Ovarense.

On Sunday, the grand final is scheduled for 17:30 pm.
