Fight to climb the Portuguese Championship promises to be close to the end

Esperança de Lagos beat Immortal 2-1, in the 1st round of the Algarve District Championship ascent stage, played this Saturday, March 9th, and rose to the leadership of the competition. 

The Lagos team benefited from the tie between Moncarapachense, the former leader, and Quarteira (0-0). In the other game of the climb phase, 11 Esperanças drew with Almancilense to a ball.

In the relegation phase, where the teams fight not to be relegated to the District II Division, Silves won 3-1 against Lusitano, while Guia thrashed Messinense by 4-0.

Lagoa rejoiced due to the premature withdrawal of Quarteirense SAD.
