Children of the Focolare Movement and of the catechesis of St Peter's Parish in Faro, raised 347 euros to help other children in Venezuela and Syria.

"On television I saw a lot of news from Venezuela, where there are many poor people who have nothing to eat," said Madalena, who is in her second year of catechesis at the Parish of San Pedro, at the session where 217 euros were given to the South American country. to the president of Cáritas Diocesana do Algarve.

In the information sent to the ECCLESIA Agency, the diocesan newspaper Folha do Domingo contextualizes that the 347 euros for children in Venezuela and Syria were raised by children from this parish who joined others from the Gen 4 group (from 4 to 8 years old) of the Focolare Movement in the Algarve.

“This initiative is very important because it is called sharing. You were very important because you helped to ask those people who could to make their monetary contribution to Venezuela and we are going to make it reach Cáritas from there,” said Carlos Oliveira.
