PS/Monchique says that the money spent on renting tents, in the last 10 years by the PSD executive, to receive the Feira dos Enchidos, would be enough to build a Multipurpose Pavilion to receive this and other events in the municipality.

According to the socialists, the municipality invested 120 thousand euros in the Feira dos Enchidos, last year, half of which “is to be invested in a tent”.

The PS says that, "if we multiply by 10, we find the value of 600 thousand euros, more than enough for the construction of a multipurpose pavilion".

Socialists say the case becomes even more "boring" when, in 2016, Rui André, president of the Chamber, advanced to the Sul Informação que the space of the old sawmill would be converted into a multipurpose space and would be completed in the summer of 2017, to host the Feira do Presunto.

Even so, the PS of Monchique says it hopes that the fair, scheduled for next weekend, "is once again a success, especially for all producers in Monchique", even "because of the municipality's investment in this event".
