Filipe Santos achieves World, European and National records in adapted swimming

The Algarve swimmers achieved 25 medals

Filipe Santos (O2 Portimão) obtained the World, European and National record in the SM21 Class – SDown, in the 25 meters moth event, in the Adapted Swimming National Winter Championship, which took place this weekend in the municipal swimming pools of Guarda.

In the race, 132 swimmers participated (97 male and 35 female), from a total of 33 national clubs. From the Algarve Swimming Association (Analgarve), three clubs participated (O2 Portimão, Swimming Faro and FC Ferreiras), with a total of eight swimmers (seven males and one female).

In total, the Algarve swimmers achieved 25 medals (21 gold, three silver and one bronze)

From O2, in addition to Filipe Santos, the swimmers Levi Nascimento, Alexandre Silva, João Pedro Antunes, as well as the 4x100m style relay also obtained national titles.

of swimming Faro, the highlight goes to the swimmer José Vieira, with the national record in the 25 meters breaststroke event. Farense Ana Beatriz Correia also achieved national titles.
