Farense loses again and is closer to the water line

Algarvians added the second straight defeat and the eighth game without winning in the II League

Farense lost against Paços de Ferreira by 1-2, in a game played today, Sunday, at Estádio de São Luís, in Faro, and is getting closer and closer to the waterline. The Algarve were the first to score, but allowed the comeback of the II Liga leader, which sealed the final result at a time when it was down to ten.

After a goalless first half, in which Paços de Ferreira was the team that was closest to the goal – Pedrinho shot at the post on 31 minutes -, Mihlali Mayambela put Farense to win, when the clock marked 61 minutes.

The advantage of the Algarve lasted for a very short time, as Douglas Tanque tied the match in the 63rd minute. And the ball returned to the goal of the Algarve in the 69th minute, but the referee annulled the goal, for offside.

At 75 minutes of play, Paços de Ferreira was reduced to 10 elements, due to the expulsion of Mohamed Diaby, who saw two yellow cards in the ten minutes he was on the field.

The home team tried to take advantage of the numerical advantage to reach the second, but it was Paços that made the comeback. In the 88th minute, Barnes Osei shot across to the back of Farense's goal.

Farense added the second consecutive defeat and the eighth game without winning in the championship and dropped to the 13th position of the II League, with 26 points – the 18th and last classified has 21 points.
