The Children's Carnival parade, in Tavira, goes out on the 1st of March, at 10:00 am, in Praça da República, and marks the beginning of «several days of fun» in the city.
1200 children from thirteen public and private pre-school and 1st cycle schools “go out onto the street to participate in the parade that appeals to creativity and individual imagination. Music, streamers, pieces of paper and the most varied costumes will fill everyone present in a good mood», guarantees the Câmara de Tavira.
On the day of the children's parade, the first night of entertainment also begins, at the Mercado da Ribeira, which will host three masked balls, all starting at 21 pm, promoted by the Town Hall and the Parish Council of Tavira.
The first of these dances, on March 1st, will feature Cristiano Martins with a band. On the 2nd, it will be the turn of the Orquestra Zeca Fradique & New Portugal Band to animate the revelers. On the 4th, Fábio Lagarto takes to the stage with a band.
Also, in the same space, on the 5th, between 15 pm and 00 pm, a matine with Banda Versátil will take place, organized by the Parish Council of Tavira.
On the 30th of March, at 21 pm, the municipality, together with the Parish Council, holds the Baile da Pinha with the Bailasons Group.
"Don't stay at home, join the party and have fun!", appeals the Câmara de Tavira.
