New sappers from Associação Terras do Infante have already started training

Training ends on March 7th

The Association of Municipalities Terras do Infante, which brings together Lagos, Aljezur and Vila do Bispo, is already carrying out Certified Modular Training for its 19 new sappers. 

In a partnership between the Institute of Employment and Professional Training (IEFP), and local Firefighters Associations and the Association of Municipalities Terras do Infante, five training units will be given: Constitution, Operation and Conservation of manual equipment, Maintenance of Forest Areas, Equipment and Forestry Clearing Vehicles, Forest Fire Extinguishing Operation and Safety, Health in Forestry Work.

The professional training of Sapadores Florestais, which ends on March 7, «is particularly relevant in their performance, of extreme demand and risk, and will allow them to deepen their skills and develop others, indispensable to the profession», says the Association of Municipalities .

Since 2 January this year, “Terras do Infante” has had a new team of Sapadores Florestais/Aljezur, now with a total of nineteen operating in the three municipalities.
