Albufeira Town Hall opens new public tenders for water and sanitation worth 1 million

The direct adjustment for the Hydraulic and Environmental Monitoring Plan and Warning Systems for Urban Drainage in the Municipality of Albufeira has also been launched.

Albufeira City Council has just opened new public tenders for works in the water and sanitation sector, worth more than 1 million euros.

José Carlos Rolo, president of the municipality, is confident that “the new works will greatly improve the quality of life of Albufeires", while councilwoman Cláudia Guedelha, responsible for the Water and Sanitation area, points out that these competitions "are underway according to the usual procedures and are in the right direction, so that, soon, some of this long list of ongoing tenders should take effect”.

One of these tenders refers to the contract for the execution of sewage and rainwater collectors and branches (213.250 euros + VAT). Another major investment concerns the cleaning of sewage and rainwater network collectors, up to a limit of 300 euros, and which covers the entire county.

Also already launched is the direct adjustment for the Hydraulic and Environmental Monitoring Plan and Urban Drainage Warning Systems of the Municipality of Albufeira, also included in the Albufeira General Drainage Plan.

The public tender for the construction of waste and rainwater collectors and branches 2018-2019 (213.250 euros) is still ongoing, as well as the contract for the expansion of the water supply network on the Caminho do Monte Velho (base value of 15.113,72, XNUMX euros).

As for the Disinfection and Descaling of Reservoirs and Water Supply Pumping Stations, actions have already started and represent an investment of 8.898,50 euros.

Meanwhile, contracts totaling around 540 euros have come to an end. These are the expansion of the general water supply network – Sul Poente Subsystem – 1st phase: Ribeira Espiche (Guia area), in the amount of 50.000 euros, the contract for the remodeling of the storm water network in Albufeira-zona das Texugueiras (54.500 euros), the first phase of the requalification of the water line at Praia Maria Luísa (101.260,11 euros), the remodeling of the general water supply network at Rua do Sol, in Ferreiras (68.500 euros), the works carried out in Beco do Disco , also in Ferreiras (8.750 euros) and in Rua da Alegria (54.624,36 euros), the contract for the execution of the domestic wastewater network at Solar do Castelo (90.000 euros), direct agreement for supply and assembly the automaton at the Orada Wastewater Pumping Station (9.961,20 euros), the contract for the execution of water supply branches (26.300 euros), the execution of repairs to breaches in pipelines and branches of the municipality's water supply network from Albufeira (115.255 eu ros) and also the contracts for the rainwater wastewater networks on Rua Antero de Quental (24.000 euros).

About these works, councilor Cláudia Guedelha says she is convinced that “they will improve the lives of the populations”.

This year, the Municipality of Albufeira will invest around 4 million euros, in the area of ​​water and sanitation in the municipality.

One of these works, and the largest, is already taking place in the old town (Praia do Peneco, Beato Vicente area, Praça dos Pescadores and Rua Cândido dos Reis), where around 1,5 million will be invested this year. of euros.
