Students from Secondary School Teixeira Gomes debate with deputy the theme of the Youth Parliament

In the 2018/2019 school year, the Youth Parliament's theme is “Climate Change – Reversing Global Warming”

fifteen young people Members elected by the two lists that applied for the school session of the Youth Parliament, at the Manuel Teixeira Gomes Secondary School, in Portimão, they debated the theme “Climate Change – Reversing Global Warming with the Algarve deputy José Carlos Barros on the 21st. ”.

With the auditorium of that Secondary School almost full, the 15 young people, students from various 10th, 11th and 12th grade classes, accompanied by their teachers, engaged in a debate that was "a lively and enriching moment for all participants, benefiting from clarity the exposition and knowledge of experience made by deputy José Carlos Barros, reflected in the discussion of the analysis of the measures proposed by the lists, in the period of questions and answers that followed», explains one of the professors.

In the 2018/2019 school year, the Youth Parliament's theme is “Climate Change – Reversing Global Warming”.

The “Youth Parliament” program is an initiative of the Assembly of the Republic, in partnership with the Ministry of Education and the Portuguese Institute of Sport and Youth, whose main objective is to encourage young people's interest in civic and political participation.
