Bullying Prevention takes students from Olhão to Turkey

The students went to Turkey as part of the Erasmus + “BeAlliesNotBullies” project

Five students and two teachers from the José Carlos da Maia school, in Olhão, traveled to Turkey in the last week of November, as part of the Erasmus + Bullying prevention project “BeAlliesNotBullies”.

This project involves six countries – Portugal, Turkey, Italy, Slovakia, Denmark and Greece – and aims to “develop effective anti-bullying action plans, policies and strategies, provide support to identify and prevent bullying and its impact on children, and also , develop activities in the classroom that promote positive interpersonal relationships», according to the school from Olhão.

For a week, the seven elements who traveled from Olhão to the Turkish city of Manisa participated in «games, physical activities, songs, workshops and lectures on the subject».
They also had the opportunity to visit not only Manisa, but also the cities of Smyrna and Ephesus.

And, of course, there was “the magnificent interaction that took place between students and teachers from various countries and the friendships that have sprung up these days and that will certainly strengthen throughout life”.
