The PSD/Algarve wants the Central Hospital to be built, something “vital for improving access and health care” in the region.

The PSD parliamentary group, on the initiative of Algarve deputies Cristóvão Norte and José Carlos Barros, presented a proposal to amend the 2019 State Budget which, if approved, "means the construction of the new Central Hospital of the Algarve", says the PSD.

“The proposal in question establishes that the list of priorities for new hospitals, established in 2006, after a government order, which resulted from a technical study for this purpose, be applied. In this list, the new Hospital Central do Algarve appears as the second national priority. It is only intended to do justice», justify the Social Democrats.

The PS Parliamentary Group starts, this Friday, its Parliamentary Conferences, in Portimão, and the PSD says that the socialists "are welcome" and can "signal positively their presence if they approve the PSD's proposal regarding the new hospital."

The Social Democrats also want a 22% reduction in tolls on the A50, the upgrading of the EN125, in the section between Olhão and VRSA, the preparation of a plan for Brexit and «not dragging your feet in the case of the Port of Portimão ».

In addition, the PSD wants the train connection to the airport to be placed again “in the national priorities”, also moving forward with the electrification of the line.
