The Odiana association celebrated its 20 years of existence with a tour on the Grande Rota do Guadiana, on the 2nd of November. The walk served not only to mark the anniversary, but also to promote this pedestrian route and boost hiking in the Lower Guadiana.
The hikers departed from the village of Corte das Donas, in Alcoutim, passed by Foz de Odeleite and ended the walk of about 12 kilometers in the typical village of Odeleite, in Castro Marim.
It was here that the 20th anniversary of the association, which brings together the Councils of Alcoutim, Castro Marim and Vila Real de Santo António, was officially marked.
And there was no lack of cake, offered by the Pastry class at the Vila Real de Santo António School of Hotel and Tourism. Among the participants of the walk was a class of 26 students and 2 teachers from the Tourism Animation course at Vila Real de Santo António Secondary School.
