It promises an «intimate» concert that will combine songs from the new album “Giesta” with hits from past records, such as Singles “Os Husbands of the Others” or “Dona Laura”. Miguel Araújo gives a concert, this Saturday, October 20th, at 21 pm, at Teatro das Figuras, in Faro, on his return to a region where he loves to put on shows.
This will be a different concert for being in a closed space. «As it is in a theater, it will be more intimate. There's no such thing as cheering up the crowd and wagging your hips. In concerts like this I like to sit at the guitar», he said in an interview with Sul Informação.
The album “Giesta” is the most recent by Miguel Araújo and was released in May last year. Until now, considered the musician, the reception of the public "has been very good".
«In “Giesta” I talk a lot about my childhood memories, about the places I knew. I feel that people have liked it and the room will come out soon single», he told our newspaper.
The album "pleases a lot" to the musician who, he confessed, does not usually pay much attention to "sales".
After the concert at the MED Festival, in Loulé, this show in Faro marks the return of Miguel Araújo to the region. «The Algarve is one of the places I like to play the most. The public is wonderful and always welcomes me», he told our newspaper.
After the concert, the musician revealed that he was going to take the opportunity to take a few days off. “I'm going to take the family for a walk. Before, there was an unfair reputation that people ate very poorly in the Algarve, only pizzas and hamburgers, but this is a complete injustice. It's the place where you can eat the best fish in the country. Not to mention that the weather is always good, when it's raining here in Porto», he concluded, laughing.
Tickets for the show are still on sale, although a full house is expected, and can be purchased here for 20 euros.
