LPN challenges everyone to clean up Fisherman's beaches, from Faro and of Light

The action takes place on the morning of the 17th of October, simultaneously on the three beaches

The national campaign "Shall we clean our beaches?" will pass by Pescadores beaches, in Albufeira, from Faro and da Luz, in Lagos, on the 17th of October. Cleaning takes place simultaneously in these three bathing areas, between 10:00 and 12:00.

The League for the Protection of Nature (LPN), which organizes the action in partnership with Pingo Doce, challenges everyone to show up, to give their contribution.

Registration is free, but mandatory, and must be made to the numbers 21 778 00 97 / 96 465 60 33 or via email [email protected], indicating name and date of birth, for the purposes of insurance activation.

This is a nationwide initiative, which will take place in 13 beaches from North to South of Portugal, between the 17th of October and the 17th of November.

Its objective is "to make the population aware of the problems of waste in the sea and on our beaches, beyond the bathing season, when there is greater movement and disposal of waste, due to a more intense maritime agitation", according to LPN.
