«Patrimónios do Sul», a fair that promotes the identity of the southern territory of the country at an economic, cultural and touristic level, starts tomorrow, the 4th, in Beja, and continues until Sunday, 7 October.

Tagus wines, from the Setúbal peninsula, Alentejo, Algarve, and beyond, will be highlighted at the fair, which hosts the 12th edition of Vinipax.

But there will also be agri-food products, tourism, biodiversity, arts and crafts, hunting and fishing, taurine tradition and birds, as well as Mediterranean cuisine and diet.

Music and concerts (Iris, Calema, David Antunes&MidnightBand, and DJs) are not lacking in the program, as well as singing, of course. The event will also have several activities aimed at children.

The fair is divided into several themes. Vinipax takes place at the Institutional Pavilion, being the largest wine event in the South of Portugal, in its 12th Edition. According to the organization, it is «a space for the reaffirmation of the most emblematic wines of the Tejo, Península de Setúbal, Alentejo and Algarve wines, in addition to others, national and foreign, as guests».

Also in the Institutional Pavilion, the «Artes do Sul» initiative takes place, a space for sharing experiences in handicraft, design, tourism, agri-food products, services, knowledge and science, while it will be a privileged place for conversations and business, but, above all, for good moments of conviviality.

Participants will also be «À Conversa», in a space for sharing knowledge on issues of biodiversity, the arts of the south, with an exhibition.

In the Pavilion of Flavors, «Sul à Mesa» presents the best of Mediterranean cuisine, with live cooking presentations. The Mediterranean diet will be the basis for offering these experiences.

Practical cooking sessions and presentations, which also include tastings, will be performed by different chefs.

The «Beja Educa» (Multipurpose Pavilion) is a playful and educational space for children and young people, which provides experiences and learning in different sectors of regional society, while strengthening affective ties with the community, promoting activities for children through a script divided into different areas (communication and multimedia, science and research, crafts, design, technologies, health, safety and protection, agriculture, sport, among others).

There will also be Petiscos (Pavilhão Multiusos), in a space where regional cuisine in the form of snacks joins the table with musical entertainment, where singing and popular music stand out.

In the «Hunting and Fishing» (Multipurpose Pavilion) these ancestral activities will be framed in the enhancement of the region's natural resources and in a highly valued niche tourist activity.

The «Beja Brava» (Cante Pavilion) is dedicated to the bullfighting tradition and includes demonstrations of bullfighting on horseback and on foot, exhibitions, thematic conversations, shows, a walk to the cattle ranch, among others that will certainly arouse the curiosity of fans.

Finally, the «Avibeja» (Pavilhão da Agro-Pecuária) is a bird exhibition and competition that brings together breeders from various parts of the country, organized by the Baixo Alentejo Ornithological Association.

And as music is a must, in the Praça do Parque de Feiras e Exposições, there will be concerts and DJs that liven up the nights of the Heritage of the South.
