Farense lost 1-2 against Leixões, in a game counting for the 4th round of the II League, played this Sunday, September 2, in Matosinhos.
The team of Faro was the first to score. At 15 minutes, the South African Mayambela, leaning to the right, shot into the back of the net, with the ball entering close to the corner.
But Leixões tied a short time later. Luís Silva, at 22′, shot hard without a chance for Daniel Fernandes, who stretched well, but could do nothing.
Near the end of the match, Matosinhos' team took the lead. Erivaldo, who had started 10 minutes ago, gave the best follow-up to an attacking move by Leixões, heading the goal that sentenced the match.
This was Farense's first defeat, this season, in the II League. The Algarve now has 7 points and occupies the 6th position. In the next round, those commanded by Rui Duarte receive the Academica de Coimbra.
