The National Footvolley Championship will take, this weekend, 1st and 2nd September, to Praia dos Pescadores, in Albufeira, 24 «national stars» of the sport. The competition, which promises “a lot of excitement and adrenaline”, will be broadcast around the world in livestreaming.
In all, there will be 12 teams from all over the country that will compete in the last race of the 13th edition of the National Footvolley Championship.
Among the confirmed names, the Albufeira Chamber highlights the presence of Nelson Pereira and Miguel Pinheiro, four-time national champions in title and European runners-up, Filipe Santos and José Correia (Beto), runner-up national duo, and the doubles composed by Pedro Salvador/Bonga, Bruno Xavier/Alexandre Oliveira (Xande).
The local authority also highlights the participation of the Alan Cavalcanti/Ruben Santos duos, a well-known athlete in beach football, but also in footvolley, and also the footballers Júlio Alves, Jorge Gamboa and Djalmir Andrade, «since there have been great fans of the sport».
The teams are divided into four distinct groups. The start of the group stage is scheduled for 9:00 am on Saturday and the round of 14 will be played from 30:20 pm, followed by the quarter-finals until around 30:XNUMX pm.
The semi-finals and the final will be played from 15:15 on Sunday.
In addition to the final victory, the athletes also have the opportunity to guarantee a prize-money of 1700 euros, with the 2018 national champions guaranteeing the representation of Portugal in the 2019 European Championship.
The event will have livestreaming coverage, for the whole world, news reports and interviews, live, through the television channel A Bola TV (position 12 of Meo).
