The 26th Volta ao Algarve à Vela starts this Thursday, July 5th, for three days of competition.

After the 2017 edition was a huge success, this year the number of entries hit a new record, reaching more than 30 vessels, spread over three classes.

The first stage will take place between Vila Real de Santo António and Culatra, this Thursday, and the second between Culatra and Albufeira, on Friday, the 6th. The last is between Albufeira and Lagos, on Saturday, 7th July.

The new Volta costumes presented in 2017 with an improved social program and a lot of prizes and gifts for the various collaborations, supports and sponsors, were reinforced in 2018.

The Volta ao Algarve à Vela is organized by the Ginásio Clube Naval de Faro, co-organized by the Marina de Lagos, by Clube Vela de Lagos, Marina Yacht Club de Albufeira, Marina de Albufeira, Marina de Isla Canela, Associação Naval do Guadiana and Clube Náutico de Tavira and with the support of the Municipal Councils of Faro, Olhão, Albufeira and Tavira.
