The 5th edition of Lota Cool Market, which has the theme of love and water, takes place from Wednesday, 18 July to Sunday, 22, in the Zona Ribeirinha de Portimão. 

This market for new crafts, designs and products good gourmet food of national production will take, for the fifth consecutive year to the Portimão Riverside Zone (Old Lota), projects of national and innovative creatives, revealing new trends and original products, with the participation of more than 42 exhibitors from different parts of the country and the Algarve.

A “Pop-Up Market” in the middle of summer and in the open air that this year has the novelty of five days, from 18:00 pm to 1:00 am and with unique and original proposals from urban artisans, new designers and artists from the most diverse areas, inspired by current trends, fashion and decoration that will make the city of Portimão vibrate.

«The market more cool do Sul" will present proposals "of design, vintage and gourmet products attracting all audiences, residents and tourists” and which places this initiative “on the route of markets of this kind that are already a reference in many European cities”.

The theme of this edition “UnderWater Love” will define the environment and the exhibitors, which refer to the aquatic environment, the world of the oceans, the colors of the seabed and the passions of summer, a combination of love and water.

This edition promises once again «joy, color and fun in a space created by the participants who, with their articles for all styles, will present quality and good taste in a diversified and innovative exhibition at Ribeirinha de Portimão, a space that is being stage of several events simultaneously, such as the Book Fair, the Exhibition “The Forest – Much more than Madeira”, Music at the Bandstand and the Exhibition “Tin Toys” at the Museum of Portimão».

Lota Cool Market was created with the purpose of promoting design and creativity and valuing what is different. About 42 exhibitors are confirmed. In the area of ​​Design and New Crafts, the brands RiSo, Apartes, B. de Potata, Pezinhos d'Algodão, MiMar baby, Mursea, Ana Ró Atelier, Girls Love Hats, Lã de Canelas, among other original Portuguese brands, are guaranteed.

With regard to gourmet and street food, the presence of Caipijoca`s, Maria do Mar, Em Pão Torrado, Cantinho do Gelado, Dom Chique, Malagueta Encantada, SalxiBox, Just Delicious, Bread with Secrets, à Boeia da Filipa, Hapiness & Food by Entre Tachos e Sabores, Paleo Chefs by F&C, among many other news.

This year's edition is notable for being held in the summer, for having a duration of five days (with a timetable from 18:00 pm to 01:00 am) and once again holds the Green Event certification with the support of Algar. The recyclable waste generated at this Lota Cool Market will be converted into donations for a Teia D'Impulsos project, Vela Solidária.

Lota Cool Market is free to enter and there will be space not only for the exhibition and sale of new craft, design and gourmet products, but also for entertainment and music alluding to the theme. To complement this “UnderWater Love” environment, this year's musical poster will feature Duo Dithyrambos on July 18th, opening day, with the South Kick Band, on July 19th.

Tercio Nanook will perform on Friday, July 20th and on Saturday, the 21st, it's time for the Time For T group. good vibes to close the Big Lotta Cool.

In addition to this daily poster, ambient music will not be lacking daily with resident DJ Dimon.

The “Coolest Market in the South” is organized by Teia D'Impulsos – Social, Cultural and Sports Association (TDI), in partnership with Diana Condesso, interior designer, mentor of this initiative and has once again the institutional support of Portimão City Council and Portimão Parish Council.

Lota Cool Market has a partnership with Sul Informação at the media level, in addition to other support such as Sagres, EMARP – Portimão Municipal Water and Waste Company, Algar – Solid Waste Recovery and Treatment (ECO Event), APS (Sines and Algarve Ports Administration) and Villa Prana.
