Sonae MC plans to fill all the 150 vacancies it has made available to Continente and Well's stores in the Algarve, following the recruitment action carried out in 14 points of the region, on April 19. The company claims to have received a total of 550 applications, «a demand 35% higher than the previous year».
The “Dia d'Emprego” initiative took place in 14 mainland stores in the Algarve. To apply, «those interested only had to present themselves at one of the identified stores, fill in the application form and schedule an in-person interview on the same day».
In all, «more than 440 face-to-face interviews were carried out, with a view to filling open vacancies», according to Sonae MC. In the end, Paula Abreu, the company's Human Resources director, was “very satisfied” with joining the initiative.
This is the second year that Sonae MC has held the “Dia d'Emprego” in the Algarve, “offering interested parties the possibility of starting or continuing a career in the retail area”.
