The Loulé and Lagos Health Centers will have dental appointments later this year, announced this Friday, April 20, Paulo Morgado, president of the Regional Health Administration (ARS) of the Algarve.

In a joint initiative with the Municipality of Loulé, from the second half of 2018 users will have access to dental treatment, one of the most sought after and scarcest services in the National Health Service.

As Paulo Morgado explained, in addition to the acquisition of equipment, ARS is now also hiring a doctor and a dental assistant for this new service at the Loulé Health Centre.

Given the high number of users, priority will be given to service according to certain criteria, despite this being a universal service.

"Maybe in July it will be possible to operationalize this new service for the entire population of Loulé", said Paulo Morgado.

Currently, only Portimão, Faro and Tavira provide Dental Medicine services in the Algarve region.
