A air connection between Portimão and Bragança, with stops in Vila Real, Viseu and Cascais, now has two daily round-trip connections as of today, Monday.

This reinforcement was already foreseen in the contract between the concessionaire, the company Aero Vip, and the Portuguese State, which subsidizes the connection, said RTP.

From Portimão, flights depart at 10:20 am and 17:20 pm, arriving in Bragança at 13:00 pm and 20:00 pm, respectively. Departing from the city of Trás-os-Montes, the first flight of the day is at 7:30 am, arriving in Portimão at 10:10 am, and the second departs at 14:30 pm, arriving in Portimão at 17:10 pm.

According to RTP, there are flights from 94 euros, round trip. The ticket price depends a lot on the fare you choose – Premium, Basic, Pex, Promo and Discount -, each with different conditions and restrictions.

According to public television, the number of passengers on this connection has been growing, since its launch in December 2015. In 2016, 8300 people used this airline, while in 2017 the number of passengers «exceeded 11 thousand».

Initially, this flight was in low demand. One month after opening this regular link, each trip carried an average of 5 passengers - the aircraft used has a capacity of 18 -, such as the Sul Informação advanced, in January 2016.
