The public auction of 12 abandoned horses, which were collected from the public road by the Câmara de Lagos, is scheduled for this Tuesday, March 20, at 15 pm, in the Auditorium of the Paços do Concelho Séc. XXI building.

The Chamber explains that the initial bid price of 10 euros is "symbolic" and that "in no way does it intend to reflect the value of the animals, but to guarantee the living conditions of these animals and aiming for the entire community to accompany the autarchy in this procedure, which wants to be fair and transparent, exalting the spirit of mission for the well-being of all».

In this public act, all interested parties or their representatives, duly identified, and, in the case of legal persons, authorized with the power to bid, can intervene.

According to the rules defined for the public auction, before the auction, "the interested parties must submit a statement indicating the facilities where the animal will be housed, attesting that they comply with the legal and regulatory standards for this purpose, which will be subject to inspection for confirmation of the conditions, by the municipal veterinarian. If the legal conditions of accommodation are not confirmed, the award will be revoked”, guarantees the Municipality of Lagos.
