The EB 1 School of Areal Gordo will be reclassified, in another work, already awarded, of the plan “Faro Requalify”.
The objective is, at the exterior level, to create "a covered playground" and redesign the entrance to the school, "by raising the pavement that comprises the entire south front, as well as improving accessibility with the construction of an access ramp". explains the Chamber of Faro.
In terms of the interior intervention of the space, the nucleus currently occupied by the kitchen and toilets will be altered, through the creation of new work areas.
The contract also includes the replacement of the pavements of the areas to be intervened as well as the entrance hall, hall of distribution on the upper floor and multipurpose room.
This contract was awarded to Sociedade Ambartrans-Transportes, Lda”, for around 101 thousand euros, plus VAT at the legal rate in force.
The Chamber of Faro he says that this work aims to make the «school community continue the school year with better operating conditions, also contributing to the quality of public education».
