A dozen young people between the ages of 17 and 21 will have their first work experience in the Culture and Communication departments of Câmara de Lagoa. The Lagoon local authority admitted trainees from the Photography Technician and Communication, Marketing, Public Relations and Advertising Technician courses, from the Professional School Gil Eanes, in Portimão, to internship in these services.

The first stage of the internships will start in March and there is a new stage scheduled for June. Its duration varies between 200 and 250 hours.

For the Câmara de Lagoa, the admission of these young people as interns allows the implementation of one of the principles of Educating Cities, a statute that this council claimed in 2018.

The municipality recalls that the Charter of Educating Cities defends that “the city should promote education in diversity (…) An education that should combat all forms of discrimination. It should promote freedom of expression, cultural diversity and equal dialogue. It should embrace both innovative initiatives and those of popular culture, regardless of their origin”
