The UAlg Careers Fair job fair, which takes place on the 7th and 8th of March, at the Penha Penha Campus Complex of the University of Algarve, in Faro, will be attended by more than six dozen companies and institutions, regionally and nationally, a number much higher than last year.
In 2018, and at a time when the business sector says it is experiencing great difficulties in securing a qualified workforce, there were more than 20 entities that decided to join this fair, to hunt talent.
An increase in requests forced the University of Algarve and the Academic Association of UAlg, which organize the event with the support of the Municipality of Faro, to expand the exhibition space, «privileging, therefore, recruitment and direct contact with companies».
«Simultaneously, company presentation sessions will take place, with space for dialogue, recruitment sessions, with interviews with students and graduates from UAlg previously chosen by companies, workshops, with practical sessions on the theme of employability and a networking lunch for companies and candidates selected for interview», according to the University of Algarve.
With all this, UAlg aims to contribute to the insertion in the job market of students and graduates of the institution.
«The Algarve Academy wants the UAlg Careers Fair, already considered the largest recruitment fair in the south of the country, to continue to be a reference event, maintaining the high employability rate of its graduates», stated the university.
