The Arade Congress Center, in Lagoa, will host a show celebrating the Chinese New Year on February 13, at 21 pm, which will feature a performance by monks from the Shaolin temple.

This cultural space in Lagos was one of the places chosen by the Chinese Embassy in Portugal to celebrate the entry into what, for the Chinese, will be the year 4716.

The show “China Night” will have as its high point the performance of the group of monks from the Shaolin temple, who “will present the audience with their usual and spectacular kung fu movements”, according to Câmara de Lagoa, which supports the realization of the event.

The Zhengzhou Song and Dance Company and the Pui Ching High School Dance Company of Macau will also take to the stage, “which will present beautiful classical and ethnic Chinese dances and Chinese instrumental music”.

Chinese New Year is celebrated in over 400 cities in 130 countries.
