Pre-School and First Cycle students of the Aljezur Schools Group are the recipients of the Environmental and Heritage Education Program “Tás Bem Abelha?”, promoted by the City Council, through Tertúlia – Associação Sócio-Cultural.

The project will provide children from Aljezurense schools with «animations aimed at understanding the interactions between living beings and the environment», such as bees and flowers, «working on a common support, such as a vegetable garden or garden, green space, space for life around school or at home», explains the Council of that county of Costa Vicentina.

“Knowledge will be disseminated about emblematic species that represent links between society and its environment”, adds the municipality.

This program aims to guarantee students «support for responsible behavior in relation to the environment and the living world, allowing them to even understand and understand the impact of spatial planning actions». In a municipality that, for the most part, is part of the Natural Park of Southwest Alentejo and Costa Vicentina, these themes are even more important.

According to the City Council, the program “was considered of the greatest interest by the Aljezur Schools Group”.
