The traditional music and gastronomy itinerary “Sonoridades & Sabores” returns to the interior of the municipality of Odemira, in six scheduled moments between the months of November and January.

“As in previous years, the best snacks in the region will be accompanied by singing to the bucket, viola campaniça, accordion players, popular poets, traditional music groups and fado,” says the Chamber of Odemira.

The first moment will take place on November 4th, at Café Ângelo (in the village of Cortes Pereiras, parish of Santa Clara-a-Velha).

On the 25th of November the event will take place at Taberna das Taliscas (Luzianes-Gare parish), on the 9th of December at Café Flor da Serra (in Várzea do Carvalho, in the parish of S. Teotónio) and on the 23rd of December at “Sonoridades” will go to Taberna da Ti Judite (in the village of Castelão, parish of S. Luís).

In 2018, on January 6th, the event will take place at Café Porfírio (Vale Ferro, parish of Relíquias), and the last stage will be at Casa da Nave (in Nave Redonda, parish of Sabóia), on January 20th.

In the six days of the “Sonoridades & Sabores” script, music will fill the spaces from 15:30 pm, with singing to the bucket accompanied by the campaniça guitar.

From 18:00, space will be given to accordionists and popular poets in the region. From 20 pm onwards, and to give music throughout the night, this year's guests will be the traditional music groups Atar and Pôr Ao Fumeiro, Os Tibórnia and Cantigas d'Outrora, as well as fado singer Ângela Pereira.

This initiative is organized by the Municipality of Odemira and the Association for Integrated Development of Amoreiras-Gare, with the support of the Parish Councils of Luzianes-Gare, Relíquias, Sabóia, Santa Clara-a-Velha, S. Luís and S. Teotónio .
