The Alentejo Regional Wine Commission (CVRA) has just announced the Alentejo Snacks and Wines Route, an initiative that promises to bring the best Alentejo flavors and wines to Lisbon. In total, 10 restaurants have accepted the challenge of recreating an Alentejo snack accompanied by a glass of Alentejo Wine, selected by each of the restaurants, for the value of 3,5 euros.
By the Wine, TOPO (Martim Moniz, Baixa-Chiado and Belém), Carnealentajana, Lost In, Companhia do Largo, Livraria-Bar Menina e Moça, Matateu Petisqueira, Rio Maravilha, Santos-O-Vinho and Sr.Lisboa are the restaurants that will be part of this itinerary through the world of Alentejo gastronomy.
According to Francisco Mateus, president of CVRA, “there are already eight editions that we have brought Alentejo to Lisbon, thanks to the event “Wines from Alentejo in Lisbon”. The truth is that after so many successful editions, we wanted to innovate this year and add something new to it. Route was born! We hope that the public will join and that the restaurants are always full. The snacks are exceptional and the wines are unique, so there is no way to remain indifferent to an initiative like this”.
And as if these weren't enough arguments, the Alentejo Snacks and Wines Route still offers prizes. A basket with products from the region and a weekend in Alentejo are the two prizes that the adventurers of the Route can receive. To do this, just take the Route and participate in the competition available on the Alentejo Wines Facebook page.
“We don't believe there is a better program than this one, which welcomes the Portuguese tradition and that's why we invite all Lisboners to come! Be filled with pride and savor the great snacks and wines! See you on the Alentejo Snacks and Wine Route”, concludes the spokesperson.
