The voice of Sérgio Godinho and the piano of Filipe Raposo, «in an unprecedented partnership», will come together for a concert on the next 16th of September, at 21 pm, at the Auditório Municipal de Albufeira.

Sérgio Godinho will present his latest project, «which includes the participation of Filipe Raposo, one of the most renowned national pianists of our time», tells the Câmara de Albufeira.

During a concert of approximately one and a half hours, Sérgio Godinho will reinterpret his most emblematic themes accompanied only by the piano.

«Exploring my songs in a different way was a beautiful way of thinking about myself and the creative lives I've been living. I chose a few among many – of loves, disaffections, comforts, nonconformities, redemptions – and I invited only one pianist, the great Filipe Raposo, to accompany me», reveals Sérgio Godinho.

Nicknamed the “man of the seven instruments”, Sérgio Godinho has more than 40 years of successful career as a singer, composer, writer and actor.

Born in Porto, he wrote some of the most emblematic songs in Portuguese music, recorded the first LP 'Os Sobreviventes' (1971) in France, and collaborated with various musicians such as Chico Buarque and Milton Nascimento.

In addition to being a composer and singer, Godinho is an actor, has already made three films with screenplay and music of his own, and has published to date the children's books “O Pequeno Livro dos Medos”, poetry “The Blood by a Wire”, of short stories “Dual life” and, earlier this year, the novel “Coração more than perfect”.

Filipe Raposo works as a pianist, composer and orchestrator with many names in national music and cinema, such as José Mário Branco, Fausto, Vitorino, Sara Tavares, Mafalda Veiga, Camané, Sérgio Godinho, among many others. In his own name, he edited 3 albums: “First Falls” (2011), which earned him the Revelation Artist Award Amália Foundation, “A Hundred Silent Ways” (2013) – Disco a Solo; and “Inquietude” (2015).

Tickets cost 10 euros and are already on sale at CIAC da Câmara Municipal de Albufeira and Lidia Jorge Library, on weekdays, from 9:00 am to 13:00 pm, and from 14:00 pm to 16:30 pm, or on the day of the show in the Municipal Auditorium, from 19:30 pm at 21:15 pm.
