The parish of Ferreiras celebrates 20 years of existence on the 12th of July and will celebrate the date on the weekend of 15th and 16th with a party with gastronomy, balls and shows.
On Saturday, from 20 pm onwards, there will be taverns, a ball with Rui & Miguel and performances by the Dance Halls of the Juventude Desportiva de Fontainhas and the Dances of Orientals of the Futebol Clube de Ferreiras.
Tonight, congratulations will be sung to the parish and a birthday cake will be distributed.
On Sunday, the taverns open at 19 pm, with a performance by the Rancho Folclórico Amigos de Ferreiras. The party continues with a concert by Primes do Zé and ends with Iris.
The Municipality of Albufeira emphasizes that «this was the parish, according to the National Institute of Statistics, that grew the most in Albufeira in terms of population index, in the last ten years». In 2001, Ferreiras had 4951 inhabitants and in 2011 there were 6406 inhabitants.
