The new store of the Leroy Merlin brand, built by the dst Group, which will be the largest in the Algarve, is being built in Loulé. The building is expected to be completed next October.
Located in an area of 9.830 square meters, the commercial building that will house Leroy Merlin consists of two levels of car park, warehouse and sales area.
Inside, two mezzanines will be built for technical and social areas.
According to the construction company, one of the technical complexities of the work is the fact that an excavation volume of more than 50 thousand cubic meters is required in rocky terrain. This makes it necessary to carry out, abroad, landscaping and road framing works, to connect to the existing infrastructure.
José Teixeira, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Grupo dst, stresses that this project "confirms the trust that the major brands place in the work we carry out, even in works of great technical complexity".
“We are proud to be participating in an essential project for the local economy, namely with regard to job creation”, he adds.
The Leroy Merlin de Loulé store represents for the brand a continuation of its expansion strategy, offering a wide range of products and services that aim to bring numerous solutions to the home, reinforcing its offer in the Algarve region, where it already has a store in the Algarve. Guide (Albufeira).
In Portugal, the brand currently has 11 stores from the north to the south of the country, to which the space under construction in the city of Loulé will now be added.
