Núbia, the first Lusitanian thoroughbred horse to be born in São Brás de Alportel, came into the world on the 13th of April.

Created by Daniel Pires from São Paulo, Núbia is a small Portuguese mare, just one month old, which represents «a great promise in the world of horse riding in the Algarve and in the country», with an «immense future to live», according to the Chamber of São Brás.

From her mother Rociera, a pure Portuguese, scored (79 points), Núbia "will certainly inherit her elegance and dexterity", says the municipality. From her father Peralta, «meritable breeder and bronze medal at the European Championship for young horses and already with several other champion sons, the little one will bring the strength and courage to conquer the future», he adds.

The young man from São Paulo Daniel Pires «is currently one of the most successful riders».

Proof of this is the fact that he won the title of champion of the Algarve in 2014 and 2016 (level M and P) and that he won the bronze medal at the International Festival 2014 and 2016 (level M and P).

To this he joins the bronze medal in the 2014 and 2016 Portugal Championship (level M and P) always with Portuguese horses, the title of champion of the 1st Algarve Cup (level M) played in São Brás de Alportel, and of the 2nd Algarve Cup.

Over eight years, «the excellent results presented by the young man from São Paulo are the result of a lot of dedication, work and an immeasurable passion for these majestic animals», concludes the Chamber.
