The fences on the east and west sides of the Quarteira Fishing Port, which collapsed due to the strong wind in the region at the beginning of March, were repaired. By the end of the year, the entire fence will be replaced, reported today to Docapesca.
According to the company responsible for the ports and auctions, which carried out the intervention, in conjunction with the Municipality of Loulé and the Parish Council of Quarteira, “some pillars at risk of falling” were also reinforced.
Docapesca added that "it will replace the entire fence in 2017, which represents an investment of 220 thousand euros to be financed by Mar2020".
The application is being finalized and, according to the entity, it will be presented as soon as the next notice for the submission of applications to that program occurs.
