The Municipal Market of Odemira will have different days, on the first Saturdays of each month, starting on March 4. The event «Vila no Mercado» is open to all local merchants and producers and aims to streamline the market and promote it consumption in local businesses.
The initiative, which takes place between 9:00 am and 15:00 pm, «brings a lot of entertainment to the Municipal Market of Odemira, with the presence of merchants, artisans and local producers, to promote and sell their products and services», according to the Odemira Chamber.
«Apart from the usual stands of fresh food products, butchers and fishmongers, the public can find in the Municipal Market of Odemira the sale of bread, sweets, honey, sausages, cheese, but also diverse handicrafts, from woodwork to jewellery, as well. such as the presence of traditional commerce shopkeepers», added the municipality.
Until the end of the year, the event will be repeated on 1st April, 6th May, 3rd June, 1st July, 5th August, 3rd September, 7th October, 4th November and 8th and 9th December (Christmas in the Market).
The sales spaces are free, upon prior registration of interested merchants, producers and artisans, which must be done with the Municipality of Odemira. The rules and registration form are available on the Chamber website.
