Mértola will host, for the first time, a Senior Theater Festival, on Monday, March 27th. The event is scheduled for the Cineteatro Marques Duque and starts at 11:00 am.
The festival, which is organized by the Senior University of Mértola, at the invitation of the Third Age Universities Network, will be attended by the Senior University of Friends of Montemor-o-Novo, the Senior University of Rio de Mouro, Senior University of Olhão and the Senior University of Almodôvar.
The opening of the Theater Festival counts with the participation of a theater show by the PT Foundation. After the lunch break, the plays “Na barca com Gil Vicente”, “O pranto de Maria Parda” and “Retalhos de Vida”, performed by the participating Senior Universities, take to the stage.
The Municipality of Mértola collaborates with the organization of the Festival.
