The training vessel “Creoula” and the rapid inspection boat “Argos”, from the Portuguese Navy, can be visited this Friday and Saturday, the 24th and 25th, at the Marinha Pier, in Portimão, where they are berthed.

Ships are open to visitors at the scope of the Mar Algarve 2017 fair, organized by the Municipality of Portimão together with Plataforma Mar do Algarve, and which opened today in that city.

The old “Creoula” cod boat, in the service of Portugal since 1937, was built in Lisbon, being transferred to the Navy in 1987 as a Sea Training Ship, on which more than 16.000 young people have already embarked.

The inspection boat “Argos”, which was increased to capacity in 1991, is the first of a series of three ships built in fiber at Arsenal do Alfeite.
