Sofia Alexandra, who won the 50 and 200 meters freestyle, Joana Bento, who won the 50, 100 and 200 meters freestyle, and Sofia Reis, who won the 100 meters freestyle, all senior athletes from Clube Natação de Faro, were highlighted in the “Specialist Tournament”, which took place this weekend, from February 11th and 12th, at Silves Municipal Swimming Pools.

In the remaining senior competitions, in the backstroke specialty, Beatriz Sousa, from Tavira Natação Clube, won all three tests (in 50,100 and 200 meters), a result equal to that achieved by Matilde Martins, from Clube Naval de Faro, but face down.

Thus, this competition ended with six wins for the Swimming Club of Faro, and three, either for the Naval of Faro, either for Tavira Swimming Club.

Also in seniors, but in men, in the freestyle category, Bernardo Gameiro, from Ferreiras, was the winner in 50 and 100 meters and Rodrigo Gomes, from Louletano, won the 200 competition. On the back, Filipe Santos, also a Ferreiras athlete, was disqualified in the 50 and 100 meters, having only won the 200 meters.

Mauro Viegas, an athlete from Clube Natação de Olhão, left Silves with victory in the three breaststroke competitions, as did Tomás Sequeira, from Armacenenses, but in moths.

The senior men's competition then ended with three wins for Ferreiras, Armacenenses and Clube de Natação de Olhão, and one for Louletano.
