Rui Anselmo, president of JS Olhão, was elected last Saturday to the National Secretariat for Socialist Youth, thus reinforcing the Algarve's presence in JS's national bodies.

The militants of the Algarve Socialist Youth, who had already been elected in Congress for the National Commission, were Guida Jesus (Tavira), Abel Matinhos (Loulé), Susana Joaquim (Faro), Marco Calapez (Monchique), Débora Marques (Faro), Joana Nunes (Portimão) and Andreia Abrantes (Loulé).

Joel Belchior (Silves) and Andreia Ventura (São Brás de Alportel) represent the Algarve in the National Jurisdiction Council.

Eduardo Cavaco (Olhão) is a member of the National Commission for Economic and Financial Inspection, while Rebeca Martins (Loulé) is a member of the Political Commission of the Socialist Party.

José Cardoso (Portimão) and Guilherme Portada (Faro) accompany the previously elected president of the Algarve Federation, Ricardo Calé, on the National Committee of the Socialist Party.

In a context of decreasing number of national organs of JS, in which the National Political Commission was extinguished, the young socialists of the Algarve were able to «even so, increase their participation in national organs, as a result of the intense political work they have been carrying out in the Algarve». stresses JS/Algarve in a statement.
