This Saturday, a 72-year-old man of foreign nationality suffered serious fractures after falling with the paraglider he was following, on Cordoama beach, on the western coast of the municipality of Vila do Bispo.

Source of the District Relief Operations Command (CDOS) of Faro told the Sul Informação that the alert was given at 15:28, having been sent to that beach, a mecca for paragliding practitioners in the Algarve, five vehicles and 12 operational firefighters from Vila do Bispo, Maritime Police, GNR and INEM.

After being stabilized at the site, the injured paraglider was transported to the Hospital de Portimão.
