The documentary “Human”, on January 6th, at 20:30 pm, and a conference on “Juvenile Delinquency: Inclusive Responses”, on January 5th, at 18:00h, these are some of the proposals for the 3rd edition of «MONSTRARE» – Mostra Internacional de Cinema, which takes place from January 5th to 7th, at the Cine-Teatro Louletano.

The «MONSTRARE» program, a Latin word that means to make something visible, or to denounce, starts precisely with the conference on «Juvenile Delinquency: Inclusive Answers», at the Cine-Teatro bar, moderated by Sandra Vaz, head of the Social Cohesion Division and Saúde da Câmara de Loulé, with guests Andreia Correia (Social Judge), Alberto Correia (CPCJ de Loulé) and António Barão (Casa dos Meninos).

At 21 pm on the 00th, “With Head Up” is screened, a film by Emmanuelle Bercot with Catherine Deneuve, Rod Paradot and Benoît Magimel.

In this film, judge Florence Baque meets Malony when she was only six years old due to her mother's neglect to take care of him. The years pass and Malony becomes a young delinquent, who steals cars and attacks people around him, both verbally and physically.

Faced with this situation, the judge sends him to a juvenile delinquent recovery center and he has Yann as a tutor. Obliged to follow the new rules, Malony does her best to maintain her freedom and intransigence.

The documentary «Human», which will be shown the following day, brings together several testimonies from people all over the planet about situations in their lives. The director – Yann Arthus-Bertrand – was based on interviews with more than 2000 people in 65 countries. In the edition, 110 interviews were chosen. The topics covered are, among others, love, agriculture, homosexuality or migration.

Among those interviewed are well-known personalities such as Bill Gates, Ban Ki-moon, Cameron Diaz or former Uruguayan President José Mujica.

The documentary is preceded by a conference on the subject, moderated by Luísa Martins, coordinator of the project team of Cidade Educadora and the Promotion of Citizenship of the Loulé Council, with guests from Nuno Pires (Chief Editor) and Graça Lobo, from the Youth program Cinema School (JCE).

At 21 pm, «MONSTRARE» ends with the show «Edge», the documentary film «30 and 2, are four» and a conversation with the audience.

«Edge» is a dance show with strong interaction with the video that had its debut in 2013, within the scope of «FRAGILE», a European project that aimed at the integration of people with visual impairments in the performing arts, in a partnership with Portuguese institutions , England, Norway and Estonia.

More than a dance show, choreographed by Ana Rita Barata, «it is an experience and approach to the world of inclusive dance», considers the Loulé autarchy.

The show integrates audio-description for the blind audience and is complemented with the screening of the documentary film, «2 and 2, are four», by Pedro Sena Nunes, the result of the show's creative process.
